This dress is an oldie but goodie. I purchased it on a whim while having drinks at a W hotel. I think the drinks helped the decision 🙂 I love it because I can dress it up or down. I decided to keep it casual to go for ice cream with Frank.

This past weekend was absolutely perfect in NYC. The BF and I decided to spend the day shopping in Soho. He was feeling generous so he bought me a super cute top at Topshop. Gosh, I love my boyfriend. Sorry, mushy moment.
Onto the outfit, I bought this skirt at a DFV sample sale a few years ago. While it’s such a cute skirt, I’ve only worn it a couple of times because I categorized it as one of my “dressy” skirts. Here’s how I wore it in the past (1 and 2 ) In an effort to wear this awesome piece more than twice a year, I decided to take it out for a casual spin. Well, somewhat casual, Frank thought I was super dressed up. Here’s what I came up with. I threw on a cotton tank with a linen blazer and put on my cute Zara flats. I added on a few light accessories. What do you think?
How do you create a casual look with a dressy piece?

I was inspired by one of my favorite bloggers Neris from Fashion Fractions. She recently posted a black and white outfit and added a few pieces to spruce it up. Here’s my version.

My post today has nothing to do with President’s Day but I thought I ‘d just wish you all a happy one. Hopefully you are off from work, as I am. I’m enjoying the weekend with Frank out in our favorite Long Island spot, Jamesport.

There has been an unusual heat wave in the NYC area lately. It’s almost December and I went out for a stroll with F wearing only this sweater. Speaking of this sweater, I got it recently at the Gap at 60% off! I also picked up these boots at Marshall’s. My sister actually talked me into buying them. I didn’t think I could wear them because of my baby ankles….apparently I was wrong. Thanks Sees!

I love love love this color combination. Not to mention the “crop” shirt that reminds me of the 80s. I’m still off from work helping my sister get ready for the wedding. I didn’t really wear these shoes, I wore flats instead. I think these shoes look way better, but I needed to be comfortable.

This weekend is my Sister’s Wedding weekend. I took the day off to help her finalize some details. I just got this tank from H&M, as you know I have an obsession with stripes. I paired it with this mustard top for a little extra color.
